This is a hybrid opportunity with offices located in Atlanta, Georgia and Lansing, Michigan. We are looking for candidates in commutable distance to either location. ServiceMaster Brands is a rapidly growing organization with over $3B in revenue and our Human Resources Business Partner position is an opportunity to join a dynamic organization in a broad generalist role with exposure to and responsibility for all the diverse aspects of Human Resources.

What You Will Do

  • Act as a business leader in all instances, with HR tools in their toolkit to enable the business to achieve (and over-achieve) its goals.
  • Provide broad-based human resources leadership tailored to the needs of the business adding value for the full employee lifecycle. This includes but is not limited to, acting as a coach and resource to leaders and employees at all levels.
  • Work across the organization to ensure optimal organization structure for the current and future organization. Anticipate and diagnose organizational need(s) and translate those into talent actions for the organization.
  • Drive employee engagement, including effectively handling employee relations issues, identifying root causes, and proactively remediating where possible.
  • Handle operational activities, on-boarding, off-boarding, and other related activities for the client group.
  • Partner with stakeholders to lead the planning, development, communication, and implementation of the entire talent management process including but not limited to, performance management, calibration, compensation planning, IDP development, and succession planning.
  • Partner with our Talent Acquisition team to ensure roles are correctly defined for recruiting (including job description creation) and play a crucial role driving leadership to provide effective employee on-boarding experience.

What You Will Bring

  • College degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 4+ years of broad HR generalist experience.
  • Experience with employee engagement, employee on-boarding, and management coaching.
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate, coach and influence at all levels of the organization, including the executive level.
  • Proven strong change management skills-both individually and across an organization.
  • Experience with organizational design.
  • Proven ability to drive difficult conversations to effective resolution.
  • Proficiency with MS office suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint. Visio a plus.
  • Franchising experience a plus
  • Project management experience a plus

Compensation Details

Pay ranges at SMB are designed to reflect skills, experience, and business needs. The salary shown excludes location-based adjustments, and most new hires start below the top of the range. For this role, the estimated range starts at $100,000 plus bonus.
