Responsibilities
What you will do:
- Perform evaluations and develop comprehensive treatment plans.
- Regularly re-assess treatment plan effectiveness and attend staffing meetings and family conferences.
- Conduct discharge evaluations, make recommendations for home and community safety, and provide referral and education resources.
- Communicate patient needs and progress to the treatment team, physician, patient, and family members.
- Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure coordination of care and enhance patient outcomes.
Qualifications
What you will need:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current, unrestricted Occupational Therapist license by state.
- Current CPR Certification.
- Minimum of one year's work experience as an Occupational Therapist.
- Demonstrated knowledge of rehabilitation techniques for complex neurological diagnoses is preferred.
- Effective and professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds; moving, lifting, or transferring patients may involve up to 100 pounds with safety procedures.
- Duties require fine motor skills, visual acuity, and prolonged standing/walking.
- Additional physical requirements include pushing/pulling, bending/stooping, reaching, kneeling, and frequent positioning.
- A health screen or examination may be required to verify physical capability with or without reasonable accommodations.
