Responsibilities

What you will do:

Perform evaluations and develop comprehensive treatment plans.
Regularly re-assess treatment plan effectiveness and attend staffing meetings and family conferences.
Conduct discharge evaluations, make recommendations for home and community safety, and provide referral and education resources.
Communicate patient needs and progress to the treatment team, physician, patient, and family members.
Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure coordination of care and enhance patient outcomes.

Qualifications

What you will need:

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
Current, unrestricted Occupational Therapist license by state.
Current CPR Certification.
Minimum of one year's work experience as an Occupational Therapist.
Demonstrated knowledge of rehabilitation techniques for complex neurological diagnoses is preferred.
Effective and professional verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to lift 50 pounds; moving, lifting, or transferring patients may involve up to 100 pounds with safety procedures.
Duties require fine motor skills, visual acuity, and prolonged standing/walking.
Additional physical requirements include pushing/pulling, bending/stooping, reaching, kneeling, and frequent positioning.
A health screen or examination may be required to verify physical capability with or without reasonable accommodations.
