2027 Summer Analyst - Subscription Finance & Services
Citizens Bank is seeking a Summer Analyst to join the Subscription Finance & Services team in Charlotte, NC. Summer Analysts will work closely with the team’s senior Relationship Managers who oversee a portfolio of private equity fund relationships of varying sizes and complexities. The Subscription Finance & Services team is part of Capital Markets & Advisory and is the central contact for banking services provided to investment funds managed by leading private equity managers.
This position offers an excellent opportunity to join a highly performing, rapidly growing, and entrepreneurial team within one of the largest regional banks in the country. Through this experience, Summer Analysts will gain insight into the issues and considerations for private equity funds as they raise third-party equity, deploy capital across investments and ultimately liquidate those positions over time. Summer Analysts will also develop direct working relationships with current and prospective private equity clients, professionals at other banks, and work first-hand with external legal counsel to negotiate and close new transactions.
At the conclusion of the 10-week internship program, high-performing Summer Analysts will be considered for a potential offer for direct employment into the Subscription Finance & Services team (post-graduation).
Summer Analyst Responsibilities
- Support senior Relationship Managers originating, structuring, underwriting, and executing subscription credit facilities
- Prepare marketing presentations for client meetings and internal reporting materials
- Assist with modeling and collateral due diligence to develop borrowing base solutions
- Assist in the underwriting approval process and ongoing portfolio management
- Develop the ability to review and summarize key provisions in fund legal documentation
- Summarize meeting notes, prepare follow-up deliverables, and track client engagements
Qualifications
- Self-starting team player who can think strategically and excel in a fast-paced and challenging work environment; professional and clear communicator
- Ability to work efficiently and to manage multiple projects simultaneously; excellent attention to detail
- Strong analytical skills and software skills: MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Copilot) proficiency is required
- Relevant work experience, leadership experience or coursework in Finance, Accounting or Economics is preferred but all majors will be considered

- Minimum GPA of 3.2; Preferred cumulative GPA of 3.5
