The Opportunity: Strategy Consulting Manager
Aon's Strategy and Technology Group (STG) is seeking a Manager to join our dynamic Strategy Consulting team. STG is Aon's global consulting and technology arm, primarily serving the (re)insurance industry. We provide strategic advisory services to leading global (re)insurance companies, leveraging Aon's proprietary data and expert network for unique industry insights. Founded in 2022, our STG consulting team has experienced consistent growth, with key hubs in London, New York, Chicago, Singapore, Sydney, and Rotterdam. This role is based in London, offering a hybrid working model with flexibility. Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Deliver high-impact strategy projects for insurers, reinsurers, and investors on diverse strategic challenges.
- Structure client projects, including problem definition, hypothesis testing, narrative development, and deliverable creation.
- Manage projects effectively, ensuring timely completion and adherence to deadlines.
- Lead problem-solving initiatives, from understanding client issues to developing actionable recommendations.
- Present and communicate recommendations to clients.
- Mentor and coach Associates and Senior Associates, potentially managing direct reports.
- Build credibility and foster lasting client relationships by facilitating discussions and demonstrating STG's value.
- Collaborate across STG and Aon to align resources and solutions with client needs.
- Contribute to business development, proposal writing, and go-to-market strategy.
- Uphold Aon United values, advocating for business discipline, operational excellence, and compliance.
Skills and Experience for Success
- Minimum 5 years of experience, ideally in Strategy Consulting or Consulting within the insurance sector, or from an Insurance Audit background with relevant qualifications.
- Proven ability to develop and test hypotheses, solve complex problems, and think strategically.
- Demonstrated track record of delivering impactful client work and understanding client needs.
- Excellent prioritization, planning, and execution skills under strict deadlines.
- Experience in team management and development.
- Strong client stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Expertise in managing large datasets, developing complex models, and delivering high-quality outputs using Excel and PowerPoint.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Proven team player with the ability to leverage collective knowledge.
- Commitment to continuous personal and team development.
- Proactive contribution to the growth of the Strategy Consulting team.
