What you need

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering technology, civil engineering, or construction engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years of construction inspection experience for large (> $500M), complex, heavy-civil infrastructure projects
  • Inspection experience in at least one core discipline: civil and structural, building, electrical, mechanical, utility, or roofing inspection, or documented service as a safety and security representative
  • Experience preparing daily inspection reports, quantity records, and nonconformance documentation on publicly funded projects
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, submittals, and shop drawings, and working knowledge of submittal and request for information processes
  • Ability to pass a background check and complete the site safety orientation required before performing work on the project site

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree in construction management, engineering technology, or civil engineering
  • Active professional certifications such as WABO Special Inspector, ICC certifications, ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade I (ACI), CWI (AWS), NICET, WAQTC or state DOT qualifications, OSHA 30-Hour Construction (OSHA), first aid and CPR, and/or traffic control flagger
  • Inspection experience on light rail, commuter rail, or bus rapid transit capital programs
  • Experience inspecting multiple disciplines on the same program
  • Experience inspecting within an active rail or transit operating environment
