What you need
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, structural engineering, construction management, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must be licensed to operate motor vehicles in accordance with Georgia Law
- 7+ years of progressive transportation technician experience with a state highway agency
- Construction experience on at least five (5) complex bridges
- At least one representative project with stay cable bridge construction or cable replacement
- Inspection experience on structural steel bridge erection
Nice to have
- Master’s degree in civil engineering, structural engineering, or construction management
- OSHA 30-hour certification
- Experience serving as the owner’s lead steel inspector on a bridge package exceeding $100M
- Experience inspecting fracture-critical steel members
- Experience with construction management and document control software
