What you need

  • Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety and health, safety engineering, construction management, civil engineering, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 10+ years of construction safety experience for large (> $500M), complex, heavy-civil infrastructure projects
  • Experience developing or reviewing site-specific safety plans, job hazard analyses, or activity hazard analyses against contract and regulatory requirements
  • Experience conducting field safety audits and inspections, holding another company accountable to safety requirements including stop-work situations, and tracking corrective actions to documented closure
  • Experience with incident investigation and root cause analysis, including corrective action follow-up and trend reporting
  • Experience leading, mentoring, or supervising field safety staff on an active construction site

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree in occupational safety and health, safety engineering, construction management, or civil engineering
  • Active professional certifications such as CSP, CHST, or STSC (BCSP), and/or CIH (ABIH)
  • Experience serving as the owner’s lead safety representative, or in an owner’s representative, program management, or construction management safety oversight capacity
  • Experience owning program-level safety governance across multiple concurrent contracts on a $1B+ program, including enterprise procedure development, audit program design, escalation protocols, and safety culture initiatives
  • Experience overseeing contractor safety on a package exceeding $100M in construction value
