The United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee (USOPC) is seeking an enthusiastic and creative Content Strategy Specialist to support the development and execution of engaging branded content campaigns that align with our organization's mission, values, and partner objectives. This role presents an exciting opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams, athletes, partners, and stakeholders to deliver successful content elements and branded partner programs that resonate with diverse audiences and drive engagement, brand and partner affinity.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner in the creation and implementation of strategic plans for branded content initiatives with Associate Director, Content Strategy & Partnerships to ensure branded opportunities are aligned with holistic content approach.
- Play a key role in executing branded content campaigns, ensuring their alignment with partner goals and the organization's vision.
- Serve as a key content liaison to internal teams, external vendors, and United States Olympic and Paralympic Properties (USOPP) partner teams to streamline content workflow, problem solve and deliver successful content elements for partner programs.
- Understand the branded content needs for partnerships and ensure the Marketing team understands the overall strategy for requests.
- Partner with Legal, Athlete Marketing, Production teams, and USOPP to facilitate seamless collaboration on integrated branded content efforts.
- Contribute to the creation of various branded content formats, including briefing video production, content writing, social media content, and more.
- Work with the cross-functional Marketing team to build content distribution plans, traffic assets, distribute and publish all branded content assets.
- Evaluate current brand strategy practices to proactively suggest changes to the strategies to improve the experience for audiences.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure that all branded content maintains consistent quality, adheres to brand guidelines, and effectively communicates the organization's values.
- Develop strategies aimed at engaging specific audience segments with tailored content that speaks to their interests.
- Leverage analytics and performance metrics to evaluate the impact of branded content campaigns and provide insights for improvement.
- Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and evolving content consumption habits to inform content strategy decisions.
- Collaborate with USOPP, Finance team and Brand & Fan Engagement Team to manage budget allocation for branded content projects effectively.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
- 3+ years of experience in content strategy, marketing, branded content, or related roles, with exposure to branded content development, sponsorship management, and client relations.
- Experience working with brands.
- Familiarity with Olympic and Paralympic Movements preferred.
- Demonstrable interest in and understanding of storytelling techniques and their emotional impact.
- Familiarity with digital content creation tools, multimedia formats, and social media platforms.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with an ability to handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
- Effective communication, collaboration, and interpersonal abilities.
- Willingness to engage with partners and sponsors, aligning content strategies with their objectives.
