About the Role
PUMA is seeking an Art Director for its Creative Services team in Boston. This role focuses on visual storytelling, art direction, video, and digital content within PUMA's Internal Creative Agency. The ideal candidate is culturally connected, passionate about arts, culture, streetwear, and fashion, and possesses a strong aesthetic sense. We are looking for an innovative, collaborative, and ambitious individual eager to create compelling brand content.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Associate Creative Director, Planners, Content Creators, and Business Units on campaign conception.
- Execute integrated campaign assets across PR, Social, Paid Media, Ecomm, and In-Store channels.
- Lead brainstorming sessions and contribute to strategic creative discussions.
- Review and align with briefs for marketing campaigns and communications initiatives.
- Lead creative productions by identifying and briefing external partners (photographers, illustrators, animators, production companies, content creators).
- Plan and execute photoshoots and other productions, liaising with external partners.
- Guide external partners in creative concept development and production.
- Oversee the development of clear creative guidelines for regional execution.
- Provide feedback on e-commerce designs and other final assets.
- Guide and oversee the post-production asset selection and retouching process.
- Lead and mentor junior members of the Creative Services team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in creative suite software (Photoshop, InDesign, Bridge, Acrobat) on Mac.
- Demonstrated ability to create proof of concepts for still photography, gifs, and video content.
- Strong digital design skills and understanding of interactive design and video storytelling.
- Exceptional ability to manage projects from concept ideation through pre- and post-production.
- Thorough understanding of creative process, color theory, and typography.
- Excellent presentation skills and ability to strategize with senior management.
- Extensive experience directing and overseeing studio and location photo shoots under tight deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a diverse team.
- Leadership capabilities, including managing, motivating, and mentoring others.
- Experience in footwear, athletic, or apparel industry is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base pay: $43 per hour.
