PepsiCo is seeking a skilled Licensed Journeyman Electrician for an evening shift position. This role is crucial for maintaining and improving our manufacturing and bottling facilities. About the Role
The Journeyman Electrician will be responsible for designing, programming, repairing, and maintaining programmable logic controller (PLC) systems. You will also perform preventative maintenance, inspect equipment, and support repairs on advanced production machinery. This role offers the opportunity to work independently, mentor junior technicians, and contribute to significant facility upgrades.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on PLC systems and other advanced production equipment.
- Program, repair, and troubleshoot PLC systems and related electronic components.
- Conduct breakdown analysis and implement necessary repairs to minimize downtime.
- Support the installation of new or upgraded equipment and technology.
- Ensure adherence to GMP, safety, and audit standards.
- Document work schedules and tasks completed accurately.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Possess a valid Minnesota Journeyman Electrician License.
- Experience with basic and advanced electrical systems, including VFDs.
- Proficiency in electronics such as level probes, flow meters, and drives.
- Experience with PLC systems in an industrial maintenance environment.
- Ability to read and apply product manuals and electrical schematics.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to work near heat, noise, gas, and chemicals.
- Ability to perform frequent lifting, climbing, standing, walking, and kneeling.
Helpful Experience
- Experience with mechanical systems, compressors, conveyers, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Familiarity with SERVO motors and robotic systems.
- Experience in high-speed production or bottling environments.
- Knowledge of computerized preventative maintenance systems.
- Experience working in team-based environments.
