Licensed Journeyman Electrician - Evenings
PepsiCo is seeking a skilled Licensed Journeyman Electrician to join our maintenance team. This evening shift position offers a target pay of $59.45 per hour and requires a Minnesota Journeyman License.
Job Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, programming, repair, and maintenance of programmable logic controller (PLC) systems within Pepsi bottling and processing facilities. Key duties include:
- Performing preventative maintenance on PLC systems and other advanced production equipment.
- Programming and repairing PLC systems.
- Conducting breakdown analysis and implementing repairs.
- Supporting repairs and installations for other advanced manufacturing equipment.
- Mentoring less experienced technicians.
- Ensuring adherence to GMP, safety, and audit standards.
- Working independently with limited supervision.
- Documenting work schedules and tasks completed.
- Upgrading production lines with new technology.
- Overseeing general housekeeping and line changes for package transitions.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
This position requires continuous work in environments with heat, noise, gas, and chemicals. It involves frequent lifting, climbing, standing, walking, crouching, squatting, bending, and kneeling. Weekend and/or holiday work may be required.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Must possess a Minnesota Journeyman License.
- Ability to pass a technical assessment for maintenance knowledge.
- Experience with basic and advanced electrical systems (starters, fuses, contacts, relays, frequency drives).
- Experience with electronics (level probes, flow meters, VFDs).
- Proficiency with PLC systems and industrial computer control systems.
- Ability to read and apply product manuals and schematics (electrical blueprints).
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
