About the role
Business Development Associate
Linedata is seeking a motivated Business Development Associate to join our North American Sales team within the Lending & Leasing business line. This role plays a key part in expanding our presence across the commercial banking market by identifying and engaging prospective clients interested in Linedata’s lending and leasing technology solutions.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their sales career who is eager to develop enterprise sales skills within fintech, working alongside experienced sales leaders and product specialists. As a Business Development Associate, you will focus on building a strong pipeline of potential clients and supporting the North American sales team in generating new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and qualify new business prospects across the commercial banking lending and leasing market.
- Execute prospecting campaigns through cold outreach, networking, market research, and marketing campaigns.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified opportunities aligned with Linedata’s target market strategy.
- Identify key decision-makers and influencers within prospective organizations.
- Engage prospects to understand their business goals, operational challenges, and technology needs.
- Promote Linedata’s lending and leasing solutions, clearly communicating product capabilities and value.
- Coordinate meetings between qualified prospects and the appropriate sales executives.
- Partner closely with sales, marketing, product management, and pre-sales teams to support opportunity development.
- Assist in advancing opportunities through the sales pipeline and deal management process.
- Document prospect insights and feedback to help improve Linedata’s commercial offerings.
- Maintain accurate and detailed activity records in the CRM system, including outreach and follow-up activities.
- Participate in sales meetings related to pipeline development, forecasting, and market insights.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, or a related field
- 0–2 years of experience in inside sales, lead generation, or business development
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building abilities
- Interest in the financial services and fintech industry
- Ability to quickly understand and communicate Linedata’s technology solutions and value proposition
- Comfortable interacting with professionals at all levels within organizations
- Highly motivated, goal-oriented, and eager to contribute to a successful sales team
- Persistent and resourceful when pursuing new opportunities
- Willingness to travel occasionally (approximately 5%)
Compensation
This role offers a competitive base salary with performance-based variable compensation. The on-target earnings (OTE) for this position are expected to range from $65,000 to $75,000, including base salary and variable pay. Final compensation will be determined based on several factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, geographic location, and market expertise.
