Mission
The AI Technical Expert will join the Transformation and Innovation Team, which plays a transversal role across Candriam's organization. The team is responsible for:
- Driving strategic transformation initiatives across IT and Business domains
- Accelerating innovation and fostering a culture of continuous improvement
- Identifying, prioritizing, and developing high-value automation and AI use cases
- Ensuring strong alignment between technology solutions and business strategy
The team acts as a catalyst between Business Units and IT Domains, ensuring that AI initiatives deliver measurable business value while fully complying with Candriam's security, governance, and regulatory standards. Within this context, the AI Expert will strengthen the team's internal artificial intelligence capabilities, contribute to the definition and execution of the AI roadmap, and support the responsible, secure, and scalable adoption of advanced analytics, automation, and generative AI solutions across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain AI/machine learning solutions.
- Consume existing APIs and develop robust APIs and microservices supporting business applications.
- Work closely with business teams to identify high-value use cases and translate them into technical solutions that deliver measurable impact.
- Ensure that solutions respect security, data privacy, compliance requirements and Candriam Standards and Policies.
- Stay up to date with emerging AI technologies (including generative AI) and assess their potential for business adoption.
- Actively contribute to Candriam's AI Community of Practice and help foster knowledge sharing, best practices, and cross-team collaboration.
Profile & Education
- Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent university degree).
- Fluency in French and English is required.
Experience
We are open to different levels of seniority depending on expertise and impact potential. You bring:
- Proven experience as a Developer, AI Engineer, Data Engineer, ML Engineer, or Agentic AI specialist.
- Strong understanding of Asset Management and financial products (e.g., funds, portfolios, risk metrics, performance analysis).
- Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum, SAFe, or similar) and contributing to digital transformation initiatives within complex organizations.
Technical Skills
- Strong programming capabilities in Python and/or another modern language (e.g., Java, Scala, C#, etc.), with production-grade coding standards.
- Hands-on experience with AI/ML frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, LangChain, etc.).
- Experience designing and consuming APIs, and building microservices-based architectures.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), MLOps tooling, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Exposure to Power Automate or similar workflow automation tools is a plus.
- Good understanding of data security, privacy, and regulatory requirements in financial services.
