American Traveler is seeking a local contract Occupational Therapist for an acute care hospital setting in Fayetteville, Georgia. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated therapist to join our team and provide high-quality care to patients.

Job Details
This role is based in an acute care OT unit within a hospital. The preferred shift is 4x10 hours (7:30 AM to 6:00 PM), with an alternate schedule available as 5x8s (Mon/Wed: 9:45 AM–6:15 PM, Tues/Thurs/Fri: 7:30 AM–4:00 PM). Every other weekend coverage is required. There are no on-call responsibilities. Therapists may need to float within their scope of practice to an affiliated outpatient facility as needed.
The patient population includes individuals with orthopedic, neurological, and progressive disease cases such as Parkinson's disease, arthritis, amputee, and other progressive neurological disorders.
Requirements
- Active GA state Occupational Therapist license is required at the time of consideration.
- NBCOT certification is required.
- Current BLS certification is required.
- A minimum of 1 year of Occupational Therapist experience is required.
- Proficiency with dynamic splints, functional splints, and static splints is required.
- Experience with upper and lower extremity treatment is required.
- Copies of all required certifications must be provided for consideration.
Additional Information
- First-time travelers and local candidates are accepted for this position.
- Requests for time off (RTO) are maximum 7 days and cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment.
- Travelers are expected to work major holidays that fall within their assignment period. Specific RTO restrictions apply for assignments including three or more major holidays.
- Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day.
- Travelers must have been away from all affiliated network facilities for at least one full year before returning as a traveler.
- Alternate shift or special scheduling requests are not permitted; the posted shift is firm.
- Two supervisory references (manager level or above; charge nurses not accepted) are highly preferred.
