What you need
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field — OR equivalent experience
- 2+ years of hands-on field experience with power/distribution transformers, switchgear, or related power delivery equipment
- Working knowledge of transformer testing: TTR, insulation resistance, DGA/oil analysis, power factor testing
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and winding/vector diagrams
- Willingness and ability to travel 50–75%, including domestic and potentially international sites
- Valid driver's license; ability to maintain/obtain a passport
Nice to have
- Experience with OEM transformer platforms (ABB, Siemens, GE, Hitachi Energy, Powell, ERMCO) or equivalent
- Familiarity with On-Load Tap Changers (OLTC), cooling systems (ONAN/ONAF/OFAF), and bushings
- NETA certification or working toward NETA Level II/III
- Experience with protective relay testing and interpretation
- Data center or mission-critical facility experience
