About this role
As a BIM Modeler, Mechanical at Giga, you will develop and coordinate mechanical systems models for AI data centers, translating engineering markups into detailed Revit models. You will work closely with other design disciplines to maintain a federated model and resolve any clashes that arise during the design and construction phases. Your role will also involve quality control of models and supporting field teams with mechanical routing questions.

What you need
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience developing mechanical systems in Autodesk Revit
- Strong experience modeling HVAC ductwork, hydronic piping systems, and mechanical equipment layouts
- Working knowledge of duct and pipe sizing, airflow, velocity, and pressure-drop criteria
- Demonstrated ability to take engineering markups and independently develop a complete mechanical layout
- Experience coordinating mechanical systems across architectural, structural, electrical, and plumbing disciplines, including identifying and resolving BIM clashes
Nice to have
- Experience designing mechanical systems for data centers, mission-critical, or other technically complex industrial facilities
- Familiarity with high-density data center cooling and liquid cooling infrastructure
- Experience with Navisworks Manage, Autodesk Construction Cloud / BIM 360, and clash detection workflows
- Familiarity with ASHRAE standards and mechanical codes
- Experience supporting projects through construction and resolving field coordination issues
