About this role
As a Senior Product Counsel at Figma, you will serve as a primary legal partner for the Product, Design, and Engineering teams, providing legal guidance on product development and go-to-market strategies. You will review user experiences and marketing materials to mitigate legal risks and advise on issues related to data protection, privacy, consumer protection, and AI regulations. Additionally, you will help develop processes to scale legal guidance as product releases accelerate and identify emerging legal risks early in the product development cycle.

What you need
- In-depth experience counseling on legal issues relating to technology, IP, privacy, data protection, consumer protection, and AI
- 8+ years of legal experience & J.D. degree from an ABA accredited law school (or foreign equivalent) and is U.S.-qualified
- Proven ownership mentality, including hands-on engagement with product details, process-building from scratch, and independent prioritization
- A business-first, solution-oriented approach, including comfort making independent decisions and taking smart risks with imperfect information
- Demonstrated interest in AI and experience advising on AI-powered products or platforms
