About this role

As a Software Engineer on the Cloudflare Network Interconnect (CNI) team, you will build and maintain systems that enable enterprise customers to connect directly to Cloudflare's network through private interconnects. Your role will involve the full software development lifecycle, including designing systems, coding, testing, and managing deployments. What you need

Systems-level programming experience in Rust, Go, C, or C++
Understanding of IP networking fundamentals: BGP, Layer 3 routing, and interconnect technologies
Experience building, deploying, and debugging distributed systems
Experience participating in an on-call rotation for services with direct customer impact
Willingness to adopt and integrate AI tools into your workflow
Strong collaboration and communication skills

Nice to have

Hands-on experience with BGP configuration, route policy, or peering operations
Experience building provisioning or automation systems for network infrastructure
