About this role
In this role, you will lead the Security Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) team in ensuring Anthropic's technology stack meets Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance requirements. Your responsibilities include defining control requirements, validating engineering designs against these requirements, and implementing continuous control monitoring. You will collaborate with various teams to track and remediate control deficiencies, ensuring that all systems are compliant before they go live.

What you need
- Experience leading or contributing to an ITGC program through SOX 404 readiness at a public company
- Working knowledge of PCAOB AS 2201 and COSO 2013
- Engineering fluency with the ability to read code and follow CI/CD pipelines
- Programming skills in Python or a systems language (Go, Rust, C/C++)
- Familiarity with developer platforms, release engineering, and cloud infrastructure
- Strong collaboration and communication skills across Finance, Engineering, Internal Audit, and external auditors

- Audit or advisory experience (Big 4 or equivalent) with in-house experience at an AI-forward tech company
- Experience with first-year SOX 404(a) and 404(b) assessments
- Experience defining controls over home-built financially significant systems or AI/ML systems
- Experience with continuous controls monitoring or automated evidence programs
- CISSP, CISA, CPA, or equivalent certification
