Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Financial Controlling Teams coordinate, administer, and control financial operations. They review, analyze, and interpret financial and budgetary reports, direct all aspects of accounting operations and the preparation of annual financial forecasts. They also oversee the development of financial accounting systems required to maintain reporting requirements. TE Connectivity is currently in search of a highly motivated Plant Controller for our Katy, TX Marine Oil & Gas facility. (MOG), is a $170M business within the Aerospace, Defense and Marine (AD&M) Business Unit. The position will be a key member of the management team responsible for achieving and reporting the results and responsible for the execution of finance initiatives. This position will serve as a business partner to the Plant Manager, to develop and execute the business strategy and fiscal plans. Effectively implements the corporate financial strategy while ensuring appropriate service and follow through. Oversees financial activities of the plant. Ensures policies and procedures are followed. Build strong relationships with key functional internal customers to effectively drive financial performance. This position requires access to information which is subject to stringent controls under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Strategic Finance & Business Partnership
- Serve as a trusted advisor and strategic finance partner to plant leadership and cross-functional teams
- Support development and execution of plant operational and financial strategies aligned with business objectives
- Provide financial leadership with evaluation of operational risks, opportunities, productivity initiatives, and investment decisions
- Deliver actionable financial insights to improve profitability, cash flow, working capital, and operational efficiency
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning processes
- Analyze plant financial performance, identify trends and risks, and recommend corrective actions
- Drive financial visibility across key operational metrics including labor efficiency, material usage, overhead absorption, and manufacturing variances
- Coordinate monthly operating reviews and communicate performance results to leadership teams
Manufacturing Finance & Cost Management
- Oversee standard costing processes and ensure integrity of product costing methodologies
- Analyze manufacturing variances, PPV, inventory valuation, subcontract costs, and operational KPIs
- Partner with operations, engineering, supply chain, and procurement teams to drive continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives
- Support new product introductions, automation projects, capital investments, and product transfers between manufacturing sites
Inventory, Assets & Controls
- Ensure strong internal controls and compliance with SOX, GAAP, FAR, and CAS requirements
- Lead inventory accuracy initiatives, cycle count governance, fixed asset management, and capital expenditure controls
- Prepare and validate Capital Equipment Requests (CERs) and monitor post-implementation financial performance
- Maintain a robust control environment supporting operational and financial compliance objectives
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop finance team members while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Drive cross-functional alignment and influence decision-making across matrixed organizational structures
- Champion operational finance best practices and process improvements across the plant
Education & Experience
What your background should look like- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required
- 7+ years of progressive finance/accounting experience within a manufacturing environment preferred
- Prior plant controller, operations finance, Supply chain finance & or cost accounting experience strongly preferred
- Experience supporting government contracting environments and knowledge of FAR/DFAR/CAS preferred
Technical & Functional Skills
Strong knowledge of:- Manufacturing finance and operations accounting
- Standard costing and variance analysis
- Inventory accounting and fixed asset controls
- Financial planning and forecasting
- GAAP and SOX compliance
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Hyperion, Global Shop, Macola or similar enterprise platforms

Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $121,000 - $155,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location) Posted salary ranges are made in good faith.
