Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Controller to lead our accounting function and ensure the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of financial reporting while improving processes and supporting strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Compliance
- Own GAAP financial statements and reporting
- Lead month-end and year-end close process
- Oversee accounting operations (GL, AP/AR, payroll, revenue recognition)
- Manage audits and ensure compliance
Cash Management
- Monthly Bank Reconciliations
- Weekly Cash Balance Report
- Tie daily cash reports to SF
- Reconcile Petty Cash
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead and develop accounting team
- Seamlessly integrate acquisition targets
Process Improvement & Systems
- Drive automation and ERP improvements
Business Partnership
- Support leadership with insights, budgeting, and forecasting
Required Skills/experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA preferred
- 10–15 years' experience; 5+ years as Controller
- Strong GAAP knowledge and team leadership experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Public accounting experience (Big 4 or regional firm)
- Experience in private equity-backed or high-growth environment
- ERP implementation or optimization experience (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle)
- Industry experience aligned with life sciences, media, or B2B services preferred
