B2B Marketing Specialist
Creative Circle is seeking a full-time, onsite B2B Marketing Specialist for their manufacturing client in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This role involves driving market research, product marketing, event coordination, digital communications, and PR/advertising initiatives for technical B2B products. A required travel component for tradeshows is also part of this position.
About the Role
This position is responsible for a wide range of marketing activities. You will manage secondary and primary research, shape product positioning and messaging in collaboration with product managers, and create essential marketing materials such as presentations, case studies, and white papers. You will also lead the planning and execution of tradeshows and events, managing all logistics from booth setup to post-event lead management. Digital responsibilities include managing online campaigns, creating web and social content, and supporting website updates. Furthermore, you will coordinate PR efforts, media planning, editorial opportunities, and advertising in partnership with agencies and publishers.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Market Research
- Manage, review, distill, and house secondary research, including market dynamics, trends, and forecasts.
- Execute customer-focused primary research, such as Net Promoter Score surveys and other primary approaches.
Product Marketing
- Collaborate with the team to develop and refine positioning and value propositions.
- Develop product and portfolio marketing presentations (PPTs) and ensure messaging consistency across mediums with marcomm.
- Create case studies, application stories, testimonials, and white papers by working with subject matter experts (SMEs).
Event Coordination
- Lead coordination efforts for tradeshows, conferences, events, and sales meetings.
- Oversee all aspects of various events, including booth structure, graphics, signage, show services, collateral, and assigning shipping owners for systems/sensors.
- Maintain communication with all stakeholders and participants before, during, and after shows.
- Upload leads to C4C and track sales conversions using sales inputs.
Digital Communications
- Create and execute online marketing campaigns.
- Develop and publish web content, newsletters, blog posts, and social media updates, including industry news, new products, upcoming events, and company developments.
- Populate conference and event web portals with company and product overviews, releases, images, and other relevant content.
- Collaborate with IT support on website initiatives and back-end development projects as needed.
PR, Editorial and Advertising Initiatives
- Organize media planning in collaboration with agencies.
- Lead PR initiatives in collaboration with agencies.
- Coordinate editorial opportunities with key publishers, including arranging interviews with SMEs (for podcasts, videos, comments, and other digital initiatives) and working with writers, videographers, and/or agencies.
- Coordinate advertising efforts directly with publishers and with the agency.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of B2B marketing experience, ideally in electronics, semiconductors, or industrial equipment.
Preferred Skills and Abilities
- Strong understanding of technical products and ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.
- Proficiency in marketing automation tools and analytics platforms.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
