Responsibilities
- Work on projects related to municipal water and wastewater treatment plants, including major expansions, water quality studies, and reuse projects.
- Perform engineering work in pipelines, pump stations, and reservoirs within the Infrastructure Practice.
- Conduct engineering designs, prepare reports, develop plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Prepare technical memoranda, reports, and electronic deliverables; perform data entry and analysis, and manage projects through the construction phase.
- Plan, schedule, and execute engineering work on medium to large-sized projects of moderately complex nature.
- Manage project budget, schedule, contractual obligations, and quality standards.
- Direct subordinate supervisors or team leaders and responsible for training and monitoring internal staff.
- Act independently and make authoritative decisions on technical matters.
- Develop and maintain significant client relationships and support firm relationships with client management.
- Identify and direct sub-consultants performing services on projects.
- Be active in professional associations, including presenting technical papers and participating in technical committees or organizations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- 15+ years of water and wastewater experience in infrastructure engineering, with at least five years of project management experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration.
- Demonstrated experience in the design and construction phases of water/wastewater infrastructure projects with full responsibility for budget, schedule, contractual obligations, and quality standards.
- Experience includes water/wastewater treatment facilities, wastewater collection systems, water transmission/distribution projects, pipeline rehabilitation projects, and pump stations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and project teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
- Design and construction phase experience.
Compensation Range
An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
