About the role
Construction Scheduler
As a construction scheduler, you will integrate project delivery schedules across broad stakeholder groups, providing comprehensive reviews of construction schedules for clients and providing delay analysis and claim defense for clients. You will maintain project schedules and assist the project manager by updating and monitoring each project’s P6 schedule, highlighting delays, providing visibility of upcoming milestones, and guidance for schedule management strategy. You will develop construction project time schedules, reviewing contractor schedule submittals for compliance, assisting construction services project managers with the review of schedules and delay issues, providing delay analysis for project issues and providing litigation or claim defense support to clients. The scheduler reports to the project manager.
What Your Day Will Look Like:
- Integrate project delivery schedules across broad stakeholder groups.
- Provide comprehensive reviews of construction schedules for clients.
- Perform delay analysis and claim defense for clients.
- Maintain and update project schedules using P6 software.
- Highlight delays and provide visibility of upcoming milestones.
What You'll Do:
- Develop, report, and manage data for a portfolio of assigned projects.
- Communicate schedule status regularly through meetings and reports.
- Analyze construction schedules and recommend workarounds and improvements.
- Advise the project manager on change orders with schedule impacts.
- Maintain critical path analysis and report deviations.
- Validate contractors’ project schedule accuracy.
What You'll Need:
- Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, Civil, Environmental, or related engineering discipline.
- Minimum five years of construction project controls experience.
- Proficiency in Excel and Primavera software.
- This is a professional office environment role requiring standard office equipment use.
- May occasionally be exposed to noise.
- Physical demands include constant sitting, talking, hearing, repetitive motions, and occasional standing, moving, reaching, handling, grasping, feeling, and coordination.
- Rarely requires lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling over 35 lbs.
