About this role

As a Senior Software Engineer on the POS team at Cloudbeds, you will be responsible for designing, building, deploying, and operating the next generation of point-of-sale experiences for hospitality properties. What you need

5+ years of software engineering experience building, shipping, and operating production applications
Strong proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript
Hands-on experience with modern mobile or frontend development, particularly React Native and Expo
Strong software engineering fundamentals including maintainable architecture, automated testing, debugging, performance, security, and operational reliability
Solid understanding of relational data modeling, PostgreSQL, caching, API design, distributed systems, and asynchronous or event-driven workflows
Experience owning cloud-native delivery and operations, including Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Argo CD, AWS, CI/CD, observability, and production incident response

Nice to have

Experience with native mobile capabilities, app-store delivery, and hardware integrations
Experience with payment processing, e-invoicing, and fiscalization
Strong product sense and customer empathy, particularly in hospitality or food-and-beverage operations
