About this role
As an Assembly Technician at Scout Motors, you will support the Technical Center Workshop by focusing on vehicle build, rework, and validation related to energy systems. Your day-to-day tasks will include hands-on installation and inspection of high-voltage battery systems, electric motors, and related components, as well as diagnosing and repairing electrical issues. What you need
- 3+ years of professional experience working with electric or hybrid vehicle systems, including high-voltage components
- Hands-on experience with HV batteries, electric motors, inverters, power electronics, and drivetrain systems
- Demonstrated understanding of high-voltage safety practices, including isolation and lock-out/tag-out procedures
- Experience using OEM diagnostic tools to read fault codes, update software, and troubleshoot electrical systems
- Ability to read and follow HV safety documentation, service procedures, wiring diagrams, and retrofit instructions
- Experience working in a workshop, prototype, pre-series, or manufacturing environment
Nice to have
- High-Voltage (HV) certification or equivalent EV safety training
- Certificate in Automotive Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field
- Knowledge of vehicle communication networks (CAN, LIN, Ethernet)
- Familiarity with vehicle integration software, data logging, and test instrumentation
- Experience working in a manufacturing or production facility
