This role is an exciting opportunity within our Marketing team, sitting at the intersection of product, market intelligence, and storytelling. As a Content Writer, you will be responsible for creating content that aligns with our business strategy and category position. Excellent content is crucial to reach our millions of users, future customers, and developer communities. The content we create must be of editorial-grade quality to effectively reach our target audience.You will bring a strong communications background and a high proficiency in finding, eliciting, and communicating strong stories to educate our customers, prospects, and the market as a whole. We have a wealth of knowledge across our leadership, engineering, and legal teams, and we need to create content that spans how-to articles on web scraping, best practices for extracting data from the web, and thought leadership on the industry's future.
As Zyte's Content Writer, you will:
- Identify and create excellent editorial-grade content leveraging the expertise of our internal thought leaders across engineering, executive, and legal teams.
- Interview technical functions at Zyte and create excellent long- and short-form content for anchor campaigns, company/employee social media, and pitches to external publications.
- Create content to support our Marketing Campaigns and social media efforts.
- Craft content that reinforces Zyte as the category leader.
Responsibilities
- Conceptualize, outline, and create content to fuel our brand and demand campaign efforts.
- Create philosophical, product-agnostic content that is ‘TechCrunch'-ready (content that resonates and doesn't come off too salesy).
- Consult internal thought leaders on their own content strategies and ghostwrite as needed.
- Work within the editorial calendar and meet deadlines.
Requirements
- 2+ years of journalism/corporate communications and editorial experience.
- A portfolio of content examples demonstrating excellence in storytelling.
- Natural curiosity that makes you a great interviewer.
- Ability to elicit and identify story ideas that tie back to our product solutions and problems solved by our software.
- Ability to develop a deep industry understanding and effectively communicate with developer and business leadership audiences.
- Experience pitching stories internally.
Bonus: Experience pitching stories to media outlets.
