About the role
Software Engineer - Fitness Team
Zwift is seeking a Software Engineer to join our Fitness team. In this role, you will work on Zwift's mobile app, Zwift Companion (ZC), delivering high-quality features and ensuring a seamless user experience. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver product features on iOS and Android apps that help Zwifters plan, track, and achieve their fitness goals. Additionally, you will contribute to defining and executing the technical strategy to achieve our team objectives - make it easy for Zwifters to plan and start their experiences in Zwift.

What you'll do:
- Work on a cross-functional team to deliver exciting mobile features that help our customers achieve their fitness goals.
- Work on existing native mobile codebases (iOS and Android) and contribute to building out our Native + Kotlin Multiplatform solution.
- Work with Kafka (or other event streaming platforms) and SQL databases, building and delivering end to end microservices.
- Mentor other engineers through code reviews, technical discussions, and pair programming.
- Identify technical risks and help build mitigation plans.
- Work with engineers and product managers to scope and plan projects.
- Participate in the interview process.
What we're looking for:
- 2-5 years of software development experience.
- Proficient in one or more mobile development technologies (Swift, Android, ReactNative, Kotlin Multiplatform, etc).
- Experience with software engineering best practices such as automated testing, monitoring/alerting, continuous integration, code reviews, etc.
- Experience with production troubleshooting.
- Tenacity to get things done and enthusiasm for learning in an evolving problem space.
Bonus points:
- Proficiency in Kotlin Multiplatform, Compose Multiplatform & React Native.
- Excited to get to deliver fullstack features, including backend development.
- Experienced working with distributed teams.
- Interest in building solutions that support our engaged Zwift Community of cyclists, runners, and fitness enthusiasts.
- Knowledge of gRPC and Protobuf.
- Interest in creating fun experiences around cycling, running, and overall fitness.
For All US Based Full-Time Positions:
The base salary for this position ranges between $86,500.00 to $135,000.00. The base salary will be based on a number of factors including the role offered, the individual's job-related knowledge, skills, qualifications, and geographic location.
