What You Can Expect
Enable around-the-clock continuity for Team Chat and Zoom Events. As a DevOps Engineer at Zoom, you will support critical, high visibility applications ensuring zero-downtime and seamless service availability.
About The Team
The Engineering Operations team is responsible for the stability and security of the Team Chat and Zoom Events platforms. They implement robust operational and monitoring strategies that keep millions of users connected worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement zero-downtime solutions for high availability services (99.999%).
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery strategies across multiple datacenters.
- Diagnose and resolve complex production issues including performance challenges.
- Collaborate with vendors, infrastructure teams, and engineering partners to improve security and service availability.
- Administer monitoring tools and provide troubleshooting support for outages.
- Develop and implement CI/CD pipelines for streamlined deployments.
- Participate in on-call shifts and manage incident response for after-hours deployments.
- Serve as the primary regional contact to address queries and manage processes.
What We’re Looking For
A candidate with 2-3 years experience as a DevOps Engineer or Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) who possesses:
- Proficiency in CI/CD tools and integration.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, and Groovy.
- Expertise in configuration and deployment management using Terraform, Ansible, and Jenkins.
- Hands-on experience with containerization technologies like Kubernetes, AWS EKS, and Docker.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a proactive and creative approach.
