Job Summary

As a Junior AML Specialist - Transaction Monitoring at zondacrypto, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with anti-money laundering (AML) and counter-terrorism financing (CFT) regulations. Your primary focus is on detecting and preventing suspicious transactions, safeguarding our platform's integrity, and maintaining high regulatory standards in the crypto industry.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with money laundering and terrorist financing regulations.
  • Prevent business relationships with suspected money laundering entities.
  • Safeguard the company reputation from financial crimes.
  • Monitor transactions for suspicious activities.
  • Conduct user monitoring for false or incomplete data.
  • Perform systematic risk analysis and document findings.
  • Record transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Identify and disclose suspicious transactions.

Requirements

University degree (or in progress) in Law, Administration, Internal Security, Banking, or Finance. Must work well under time pressure in a remote environment, demonstrate independence, and have strong organizational skills. Proficient English (B2 or higher) and a genuine interest in cryptocurrencies and regulations are required. Applicants must be residents of Estonia.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in AML/CFT processes within the financial market.
  • Knowledge of national and EU AML regulations.
  • Understanding of payment methods and transaction monitoring.
  • Ability in additional languages such as Italian or German.
  • Certification in AML (ACAMS or ICA) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with cryptocurrency-related issues.
