Your Role as Engineering Manager, New Product at Zip

We are actively seeking an experienced Engineering Manager passionate about transforming B2B transactions. This leadership role focuses on our Procure-to-Pay (P2P) product lines, driving innovation and scaling Zip's platform to achieve enterprise-grade correctness, scalability, and an exceptional user experience.
What You Will Do
- Build and successfully manage robust engineering teams of 8-12 individuals from the ground up.
- Attract and hire top talent while fostering individual growth and development within your team.
- Design and implement efficient processes that promote team productivity, scalability, and agility.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership, overseeing architecture, design, code reviews, quality assurance, and incident management.
- Define long-term technical visions and strategic goals for your engineering team.
- Ensure the development of products with enterprise-grade correctness, resiliency, availability, and scalability.
- Collaborate extensively with Product Management, Design, and other engineering counterparts to define team direction and shape the product roadmap.
- Own and drive execution towards clearly defined objectives with measurable key results.
- Cultivate a strong culture of engineering excellence and customer focus across the team.
Qualifications We're Looking For
- 6+ years of comprehensive software engineering experience.
- 3+ years of proven experience managing technical teams.
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related technical field involving coding (e.g., physics or mathematics).
- A successful track record of launching multiple complex products or systems.
- Demonstrated ability to attract top engineering talent and provide strong support to team members.
- Capability to thrive in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment and lead complex operational initiatives.
- A keen eye for product design and a passion for crafting consumer-grade user experiences.
Nice-to-Haves
- Prior experience within the SaaS or FinTech industries.
- Experience bootstrapping and successfully landing large-scale 0-to-1 projects.
- Experience working in a small company environment with diverse responsibilities.
