What You’ll Do

• Oversee and implement data pipeline and warehousing strategies.
• Lead cross-organizational projects and automate data value chain processes.
• Promote technical best practices and mentor the data team.
• Design and maintain simple, efficient data architecture for diverse stakeholders.
• Ensure pipeline reliability while enforcing data governance and security.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to design data models.
• Evaluate and adopt new engineering tools for scalability.

What You’ll Need

• Bachelor/Master's in a technical field with 5+ years of data engineering experience.
• Extensive experience in data pipelining, warehousing, and ETL tools.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL, with familiarity with Airflow and dbt.
• Hands-on experience with tools such as Jira, Git, Buildkite, Terraform, Airflow, dbt, and container technologies.
• Experience with GCP suite, Terraform, Kubernetes, and cloud functions.
• Understanding of modern data warehousing practices like data mesh or data vaulting and data quality best practices.
• A passion for both high-level architecture and detailed coding.
• Strong communication skills to bridge statistical and software engineering domains.

• Python for data pipelining and automation.
• Airbyte for ETL processes.
• Google Cloud Platform, Terraform, Kubernetes, Cloud SQL, Cloud Functions, BigQuery, and DataStore.
• Airflow and dbt for orchestration.
• Tableau and PowerBI for data visualization.
