What You Can Expect

The primary responsibility of this hybrid role is to lead and coordinate sourcing project management activities, particularly sourcing transfers—while providing strategic support to Category Managers. This position will drive governance, reporting, and execution of sourcing initiatives across multiple categories, ensuring alignment with global procurement strategies. The role requires strong organizational skills, problem-solving ability, and the capacity to work independently with minimal direction.

How You'll Create Impact

  • Develops and maintains sourcing project plans, timelines, and deliverables to ensure successful execution of procurement strategies, with a strong focus on sourcing transfers.
  • Facilitates cross-functional collaboration between procurement, operations, and business stakeholders to achieve cost, quality, and compliance objectives.
  • Leads governance and reporting processes for sourcing initiatives, including KPI tracking and risk management.
  • Supports Category Managers in supplier negotiations, market analysis, and strategic sourcing decisions.
  • Drives continuous improvement in sourcing processes and tools, leveraging best practices and data analytics.
  • Acts as a central point of contact for project status updates, issue resolution, and stakeholder communication.
  • Works closely with key stakeholders, member organizations and corporate functions to develop effective cost reduction strategies and implementation plans.
  • Identifies and defines procurement best practices both within and external to Zimmer Biomet and ensures that those best practices are implemented in their category.

Your Background

  • Preferred Qualification: At least three - five years of procurement experience, ideally with exposure to project management and category management.
  • Preferred Qualification: Experience in PMO governance or sourcing project leadership.
  • Preferred Qualification: Familiarity with regulated environments and compliance requirements.
  • Preferred Qualification: Successful track record of multiple years in Strategic Procurement and/or Project Management.
  • Minimum Qualification: Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of relevant experience, or Associate's Degree and 6 years of relevant experience, or High School Diploma or Equivalent and 8 years of relevant experience AMER
  • Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) (Preferred), Lean Six Sigma or equivalent continuous improvement certification (Preferred)

Travel Expectations

Must possess the ability to travel on a regular basis with overnight stays up to 10%. Occasional regional travel and global travel may be required.
