About the role
About The Team
At Zillow, we’re reimagining real estate to make it easier to unlock life’s next chapter. Zillow Home Loans plays a critical role in that vision by helping buyers move from home shopping to financing with more confidence, transparency, and ease. This team builds the lending experiences, internal tools, and operational systems that support a more connected mortgage journey inside the Zillow experience. The work spans highly complex, regulated workflows across verification, underwriting readiness, closing readiness, production visibility, and integrations with both Zillow systems and third-party mortgage platforms. By combining technology, automation, and deep partnership with Operations, Engineering, Design, Data Science, Compliance, and vendor teams, we’re improving the speed, quality, and predictability of the mortgage process for both borrowers and the teams who support them.
About The Role
We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager to help transform mortgage fulfillment through AI-first product thinking, operational rigor, and systems design. This role sits at the intersection of product, operations, and technology, with the opportunity to rethink how work gets done across people, software, and automation in a highly regulated environment. You’ll help turn fragmented, manual workflows into scalable, intelligent, and reliable systems that improve file quality, reduce effort, streamline handoffs, and create more predictable closing outcomes.
You will operate across the fulfillment lifecycle to identify pain points, define product strategy, and deliver solutions that improve how work is structured, surfaced, and executed across teams and systems. The work requires a product leader who is equally comfortable navigating complex operational workflows, partnering deeply with business stakeholders and technical teams, and balancing speed, quality, compliance, and scalability. This is an opportunity to shape the future of mortgage operations by building smarter workflows, stronger internal tooling, and better-integrated systems that drive measurable business impact.
You Will Get To
- Lead AI-first product strategy for mortgage fulfillment workflows, operational tooling, and decisioning systems across the loan lifecycle, identifying where automation, intelligence, and human judgment should work together to improve operator productivity and borrower outcomes.
- Redesign complex, multi-step operational processes to improve quality, speed, cost efficiency, and the predictability of closing outcomes, with a focus on reducing manual effort, simplifying handoffs, and minimizing avoidable failure points.
- Build and evolve internal tools that support file setup, verification, conditions management, underwriting readiness, closing readiness, and production visibility, helping teams work with greater clarity, consistency, and control.
- Define how work moves across people, systems, and handoffs so the right actions happen at the right time, with clear ownership, stronger workflow orchestration, and better visibility into file progression across the fulfillment lifecycle.
- Partner closely with Operations, Engineering, Design, Data Science, Compliance, and external vendors to translate business needs and operational pain points into scalable, high-quality solutions that work in real-world production environments.
- Drive integrations across Zillow systems and third-party platforms, including LOS, POS, underwriting, verification, credit, and closing tools, ensuring the broader ecosystem supports a more connected and reliable operator experience.
- Use data to identify bottlenecks, define success metrics, prioritize opportunities, and measure the business impact of product investments, using insights to continuously refine workflows and improve throughput, quality, and predictability.
- Ensure solutions are operationally sound, compliant, auditable, and built to scale in a regulated environment, balancing speed of execution with risk management, reliability, and long-term maintainability.
