About The Brand Strategy & Activation Manager Role
We are seeking an experienced brand strategist and marketer to contextualize and activate a comprehensive brand strategy with consumer audiences. You will cultivate relationships, collaborate cross-functionally, and rally teams around a unified strategy. This role involves identifying audience-based insights, clarifying strategic concepts, and translating them into practical frameworks for product development, experiences, and communications.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategy: Author strategic frameworks (brand positioning, messaging, architecture, etc.) to clarify our brand's presence for consumer audiences.
- Activation: Identify opportunities and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure our brand is activated across the consumer ecosystem (campaigns, experiences, content, stories, etc.).
- Management: Steward and evolve our brand strategy, ensuring brand health, strength, and clarity. Consult and guide teams on naming and brand identity.
- Measurement: Report on brand health via qualitative and quantitative tracking research, ensuring meaningful feedback from consumer audiences. Monitor and dissect the competitive landscape.
- Strategic Influence: Immerse with key stakeholders to understand business context and complexity; consult on how the brand accelerates their work (product roadmap, experience design, business model, etc.).
- Inspiration: Develop deep understanding of consumer audiences to help internal teams build empathy; inspire teams with clarity around our brand promise and impact.
Who You Are
You have proven experience creating and activating brand strategies for B2C brands and are eager to help craft an evolving category. You are an empathetic listener of customer stories, skilled in using their voice to drive behavioral change. A champion of audience-centered brand activation, you balance intuition with robust data and embrace bold targets. You believe in the power of a brand to inspire, guide, and accelerate business growth, and have success stories where your strategy was successfully integrated across the customer experience. You thrive in cross-functional environments, building trust through relationships and high-quality output.
Requirements
- Proven experience shaping brand strategy and creating frameworks that translate strategy into action for various teams.
- Track record of serving as a consultative partner to teams executing campaigns, ensuring consistency, clarity, and strategic rigor.
- Ability to partner with cross-functional teams in a matrixed, geographically distributed organization.
- Skilled facilitator of workshops and/or projects leading teams from insight to strategy to implication.
- Strategic problem solver with high curiosity and an insight-backed approach; able to analyze opportunities, define objectives, and drive outcomes.
- Demonstrates understanding of audience insights and how to extract meaning to tell powerful stories in collaboration with Research teams.
- Confident communicator with strong oral and written communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing or business.
