Information Technology Desktop Support Executive L2 at Zigsaw
We are actively seeking a skilled and customer-oriented Level 2 Tech Support Executive to join our IT support team at Zigsaw. This onsite role in Coimbatore requires a minimum of 1 year of experience in Desktop Support, IT Helpdesk, or Service Desk. The ideal candidate will provide advanced technical support for desktop systems, email configuration, and printer setup, demonstrating strong troubleshooting skills, critical thinking, and empathy when assisting users.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide Level 2 support for Windows desktops and laptops, covering both hardware and software issues.
- Configure, troubleshoot, and support Microsoft Outlook, Exchange / IMAP email accounts, and mobile email setup.
- Utilize critical thinking and logical probing techniques to identify the root causes of technical issues effectively.
- Deliver remote support to end-users, catering to individuals with varying levels of technical proficiency.
- Assist users with patience and empathy, ensuring a positive experience, especially for non-technical users.
- Meticulously document all troubleshooting steps and resolutions within the ticketing system.
- Collaborate proactively with other IT team members to resolve systemic issues and improve overall IT infrastructure.
- Ensure strict adherence to Zigsaw's IT policies, processes, and security standards to maintain a secure environment.
Required Skill Set
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in IT Desktop Support or Level 2 Technical Support.
- Strong foundational knowledge of Windows 10/11 operating systems, MS Office suite, and common desktop applications.
- Practical experience with email client configuration and understanding of various email protocols (e.g., POP, IMAP, SMTP).
- Proficiency in network printer setup, print server management, and advanced troubleshooting for printing issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, crucial for effective interaction with all users, particularly non-technical individuals.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and manage time efficiently within a dynamic, fast-paced IT support environment.
