Digital Sales Representative at Zendesk
We are seeking a motivated self-starter capable of managing a high-velocity sales approach while ensuring an excellent customer experience. As a Digital Sales Representative, you will be at the forefront of Zendesk's customer interactions for both new and existing clients. You will become a product expert, articulating the value of Zendesk to informed buyers through various touch points across the customer journey to facilitate informed purchasing decisions. This is a new team at Zendesk, offering the unique opportunity to be one of its founding members in a rapidly growing area of our business.
Ideal candidates will bring a consistent track record of achieving sales targets; prior Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) experience is a significant advantage. This role requires working from Zendesk’s Lisbon office three days per week.
Responsibilities
- Respond to a large volume of inbound leads and engage with existing customers primarily through chat and email channels.
- Actively resolve prospect and customer inquiries to enhance online business conversion rates.
- Become a comprehensive expert on Zendesk products and solutions.
- Act as the voice of our customers, understanding their needs and fostering their advocacy for Zendesk.
- Conduct discovery calls, provide product demonstrations, and effectively showcase the value of purchasing Zendesk.
- Meet or exceed established Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the role, including but not limited to ticket volumes, response and resolution times, and productivity.
- Contribute to a shared revenue target.
- Exceed weekly activity, pipeline, and revenue goals.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent written communication skills in English are essential. Proficiency in a secondary language such as French, Dutch, or Arabic is desired but not mandatory.
- Ability to work effectively with clients and prospects across Zendesk’s global market.
- 1+ years of sales experience, with a preference for software/SaaS experience.
- A genuine passion for Zendesk technology and a quick ability to learn new tools and processes.
- Outstanding organizational skills, coupled with the ability to multitask a high volume of opportunities continuously.
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, think strategically, and excel at tactical execution against tasks.
- Commitment to working in-office three days per week.
Hybrid Work Arrangement
This role operates under a hybrid model, designed at the team level to provide a rich on-site experience focused on connection, collaboration, learning, and celebration, while also offering the flexibility to work remotely for part of the week. Attendance at our local office for part of the week is required. The specific in-office schedule will be determined by the hiring manager.
