Position Overview

The Buyer will play a crucial role in sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing cannabis products for retail stores. Reporting to the VP of Sales, this role collaborates with external vendors and various internal teams including retail, finance, and operations to ensure timely delivery and budget adherence. It is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about procurement, supply chain management, and career growth in retail buying.

Key Responsibilities

• Procurement and Vendor Management: Manage vendor relationships, secure competitive pricing, and implement strategic purchasing.
• Inventory Planning and Cost Management: Develop demand forecasts, monitor inventory, and track budgets.
• Collaboration and Reporting: Work with finance, retail leadership, and data teams to align procurement with company goals.

Qualifications and Skills

• 3+ years in procurement, purchasing, or inventory management, preferably retail.
• Strong negotiation skills and vendor relationship management.
• Proficiency with inventory management systems, point-of-sale software, and purchasing tools.
• Ability to analyze data and make actionable recommendations.
• Basic Excel knowledge and strong organizational skills.
• Cannabis buying experience is a plus.
