Position Overview

Zema Global is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead strategic initiatives across our infrastructure, cloud, and cybersecurity programs. This role will focus on delivering projects that enhance the organization’s technology platform, strengthen security posture, and support ongoing modernization initiatives.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in driving complex projects across engineering, operations, and security teams while ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and enterprise architecture standards.

This position requires a strong leader who can drive execution, maintain accountability across teams, and communicate effectively with both technical stakeholders and senior leadership. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong sense of ownership, take pride in delivering high-quality outcomes, and proactively identify opportunities to improve processes and deliver additional value through each initiative.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of IT infrastructure and cybersecurity initiatives, including cloud modernization, security remediation programs, platform upgrades, and operational improvements.
  • Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, milestones, dependencies, and resource allocation.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration across engineering, operations, architecture, security, and vendor teams.
  • Facilitate project governance, ensuring alignment with internal standards and enterprise technology strategy.
  • Proactively identify project risks and obstacles and implement mitigation strategies to maintain delivery momentum.
  • Maintain strong project discipline through status reporting, issue tracking, and risk management processes.
  • Provide clear and structured project updates to technical teams, executive leadership, and key stakeholders.
  • Translate complex technical activities into concise, business-focused communication for leadership.
  • Ensure teams remain focused on key deliverables and timelines while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational processes, reduce technical debt, and strengthen the organization’s security and infrastructure capabilities.
  • Support broader technology transformation initiatives across the IT organization.

Leadership And Communication Expectations

This role requires exceptional communication and leadership skills. The successful candidate will:

  • Act as a central point of coordination across multiple technical teams.
  • Maintain clear, transparent communication with project stakeholders.
  • Present project updates, risk summaries, and key milestones to senior leadership.
  • Facilitate alignment between engineering teams and business leadership.
  • Ensure complex technical initiatives are communicated in a clear and structured manner.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are essential to the success of this role.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience managing enterprise IT projects.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering infrastructure, cloud, or cybersecurity programs.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise technology environments including:
    • Cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or similar)
    • Networking and infrastructure platforms
    • Security controls and remediation initiatives
    • Identity and access management
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in complex technical environments.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or similar project management certifications.
  • Experience supporting security or compliance initiatives (SOC, NIST, CIS, ISO frameworks).
  • Experience working with cloud transformation or infrastructure modernization programs.
