The Opportunity
The Registrar’s Office at Zayed University is seeking a Registration Officer for the Abu Dhabi Campus who will support the Registrar and the Assistant Registrar. This role provides leadership in developing and implementing procedures and policies of the Registrar’s Office, and offers accurate, updated information to students, families, and faculty regarding academic records, personal conduct, and discipline.
The Responsibilities
Scheduling:
- Create class schedules each semester using the Banner system.
- Adjust individual student schedules per University policy.
- Address scheduling concerns and escalate issues when needed.
- Manage new sections, enrollment numbers, and faculty assignments.
- Assist in building the final exam schedule with the Assistant Registrar.
Registration:
- Oversee online registration and Add/Drop requests.
- Register first-semester students using the Banner system.
- Ensure timely preparation and accuracy of student schedules.
Student Records:
- Process E services and Academic forms related to student records.
- Address queries regarding class changes, attendance, and enrollment issues.
- Update student records electronically using Banner and maintain paperwork.
University Policies and Procedures:
- Support students in adhering to University policies on conduct and attendance.
- Maintain efficient communication regarding policy-related issues.
- Coach students on required documents and proper information flow.
Reports:
- Produce reports and letters related to attendance, academic records, and discipline.
- Prepare statistical reports using Banner and Excel.
Other Duties:
- Perform general office duties including issuing ID cards.
- Assist with special projects, campus events, student orientation, and placement tests.
- Handle student complaints within established University policies.
The Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of two years of relevant experience.
- Experience in administration and customer service, preferably in a Registrar’s office.
- Familiarity with academic databases and the UAE educational environment.
- Bilingual in Arabic and English.
- Highly computer literate and proficient with database systems.
