Ecommerce Analyst at Zappos

Zappos is seeking an analytical professional to join their team as an Ecommerce Analyst. This role is crucial for supporting business analysis and reporting initiatives. You will collaborate with various teams to develop insightful reports, create dynamic dashboards, and deliver actionable insights that drive business decisions. A strong understanding of ecommerce Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), customer journeys, and web analytics is essential. Key Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain and enhance ongoing reporting capabilities to address ad-hoc business inquiries.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and develop custom dashboards, reports, and data segments.
  • Prepare and present weekly reports detailing business drivers and emerging opportunities across web and app platforms.
  • Analyze raw datasets, performing deep dives into site data and customer journey patterns.
  • Conduct quantitative analyses, ranging from answering specific questions to formulating strategic insights for large-scale initiatives, determining necessary data.
  • Educate and empower stakeholders with analytical tools and methodologies to navigate and solve evolving business challenges.
  • Promote standardized reporting practices and cultivate a data-driven analytical culture across all teams.
  • Scale analytic capabilities by troubleshooting data issues, leading improvement initiatives, and encouraging the adoption of analytics tools.
  • Identify opportunities and partner with cross-functional business and technology teams to implement effective solutions.
  • Champion data integrity by identifying data discrepancies and contributing to data hygiene efforts.

Basic Qualifications

  • Over 5 years of experience with Excel, including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, and Power Pivots.
  • Over 5 years of experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau.
  • 3+ years of experience in business or financial analysis.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in defining requirements and using data/metrics to derive business insights.
  • Experience with SQL.
  • Proven ability to make data-driven business recommendations and influence stakeholders.
  • Experience leading analysis, customer segmentation, and/or product behavior analysis.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the e-commerce or retail industries.
  • Proficiency in using generative AI tools to improve workflow efficiency, including effective prompting and evaluation techniques.
  • Ability to identify opportunities for generative AI to enhance products, workflows, or customer experiences.

Compensation & Benefits

The base salary range for this position is $74,300.00 - $130,100.00 USD annually. Your Zappos package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined by factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
