Purpose of Job
The Portfolio Manager at Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority is responsible for leading work activities autonomously towards long-term objectives. The role oversees the implementation of operational plans and drives improvements in policies, procedures, standards, and reports through the development of an integration delivery management framework and project execution strategy. This role leads a portfolio of integration projects.
Project Delivery
- Develop the integration delivery management framework, guidelines, governance, and tools in line with best practices and overall strategy.
- Create integration project execution strategy including objectives, timeline, and budget.
- Participate in sourcing required project service providers.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to execute integration project delivery according to established processes.
- Assess risks from project changes and recommend corrective actions.
Project Monitoring
- Monitor overall project progress and deliverables' status.
- Review periodic reports from the PMO team to assess performance.
- Prepare reports on project progress, milestones, challenges, and lessons learned.
- Communicate results and follow-up on corrective actions with top management and stakeholders.
Organization and Operations
- Adhere to relevant policies, processes, and standard operating procedures.
- Assist in resolving escalated problems and support junior team efficiency.
- Escalate complex issues for proper closure.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
People Management
- Train junior staff to ensure transfer of know-how.
- Provide clear direction, prioritize tasks, and delegate responsibilities.
- Support junior staff in executing duties per defined policies and processes.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent; Master’s degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
