Engineer VI Mechanical
The role requires extensive experience in the design and operation of PWR and/or BWR plants, focusing on primary and secondary systems. Candidates should have a background in feasibility studies, addressing equipment reliability issues, and performing system modifications and upgrades to enhance safety and performance.
Responsibilities include using independent judgment in performing calculations, modifications and designs, as well as presenting and justifying modification packages during quality and safety reviews. Collaboration with project teams and vendor interfacing is essential.
- Extensive technical knowledge in mechanical disciplines
- Experience with nuclear plant safety and regulatory standards (NRC, state and federal)
- Proficiency in feasibility studies and system modifications
- Excellent client skills and strong interdisciplinary coordination
- Ability to design changes that improve plant performance
