Position Overview
Zachry Nuclear Engineering, Inc. is seeking an Engineer VI, I&C for a direct hire role. The position is available in-office at Charlotte, NC or Stonington, CT. This role requires extensive experience in power plant system instrumentation and control strategies, with an emphasis on legacy equipment and digital control systems design.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute power plant upgrades and new projects.
- Develop specifications, modification packages, and control system architectures.
- Coordinate with multiple design disciplines and customer representatives.
- Review, check, and mentor junior engineers on project designs.
- Manage budget, scope, schedule, and project quality with minimal oversight.
Requirements
Minimum education includes a BS in electrical, mechanical, nuclear, chemical, computer or process/controls engineering from an ABET accredited program. At least 18 years experience is required, with a minimum of 8 years in nuclear power. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential.
Additional Information
- Experience with NRC regulations and nuclear safety codes is needed.
- Ability to perform industrial walk downs and manage field/office work.
- Travel to client sites is required along with occasional overtime.
- Relocation assistance is not available.
