About the Jr. Microsoft Purview Administrator Role

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Jr. Microsoft Purview Administrator to join a federal technology and services firm supporting civilian agencies across secure IT, cyber, and mission-critical programs in Washington D.C. This is a flexible, remote role.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and test data governance and compliance policies.
• Deploy and configure Microsoft Purview and Microsoft 365 services.
• Administer role groups, custom roles, and permissions in Purview portal.
• Mitigate risks and protect sensitive data, managing insider risks.
• Support eDiscovery workflows including data collection, search, and export.
• Collaborate with IT, security, data architects, analysts, and business teams.
• Provide training and support to users on data protection tools and policies.

Qualifications

Required qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years IT experience OR Associate's Degree with 7+ years OR 9+ years of overall IT experience, hands-on administration of Microsoft Purview, proficiency with Microsoft 365, and strong understanding of data governance and compliance.

Experience with DLP, data classification, risk assessments, audits, and security incident response is critical. US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a public trust clearance are required.

Desired Skills

Familiarity with PowerShell scripting and experience with Treasury or IRS systems.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range is $85,000 to $95,000 depending on experience. Comprehensive benefits include Cigna Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, PTO, Holidays, and Sick Leave where applicable.
