What You’ll Be Serving Up:
Contributes to KFC US success by managing the development of outstanding restaurant designs for new builds and remodels, brand design reviews, and franchisee support that delivers the KFC customer experience and brand positioning while meeting established architectural and brand standards. Brings architectural, design expertise and executional insight to KFC’s pipeline of restaurant remodels and new restaurant development.
Here’s How You’ll Spice Things Up:
- New Restaurant Projects (30%): Manage project pipeline, design direction, and communication with external consultants and franchisee teams. Oversee projects from registration to design approval and collaborate on site selection with Regional Franchisee Development Managers (RFDM).
- Remodel Projects (50%): Lead remodel restaurant project design review, evaluate design submittals, and implement solutions while maintaining effective communication with KFC Construction Managers and franchisee teams.
- Multibrand Design Lead: Act as template owner and team design resource, partnering with sister brands to ensure adherence to all brand standards.
- Design Visualization and Support (20%): Provide support visuals for A&D playbooks and assist the A&D team across various restaurant formats.
What You Bring to the Table:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Construction, or a related field (or 5-7 years relevant experience).
- Minimum of 5 years related experience with strong knowledge of the retail/restaurant design process.
- Proficiency in CADD with Autodesk AutoCAD; Revit experience is a plus.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suites, Bluebeam, and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign and Photoshop).
- Proven ability to manage external architecture, design, and engineering consultants.
- Strong interpersonal, problem solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced corporate environment.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for conferences and job-related functions.
