Job Overview

This is a 100% Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) Long Term Occasional (LTO) Grade 6 Homeroom teaching position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and effective instruction to Grade 6 students in a homeroom setting.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the community to support student achievement.
  • Adhere to the requirements of the Education Act and the Ontario College of Teachers.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Must be a member in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) or in the process of becoming qualified.
  • Provide at least three (3) professional, supervisory teaching references (external applicants).
  • Internal YRDSB employees must include all previous teaching experiences and two (2) references (one must be a YRDSB administrator).
  • Satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) completed within six (6) months prior to the start date.

Salary Information

Salary will be determined in accordance with the current ETFO Elementary Teacher Collective Agreement. Salary ranges are:
  • A1-A2 (Steps 0-10): $57,269 - $102,938
  • A3-A4 (Steps 0-10): $63,855 - $120,384
The salary will be pro-rated based on FTE, QECO rating, and years of experience.
