Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Legal Administration & Generalist to support our legal team in a fast-paced environment. This remote role involves providing comprehensive administrative and paralegal support, including drafting legal correspondence, preparing court documents, assisting with trial preparation, managing electronic filing systems, calculating billables, and coordinating calendars and communications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Legal research and discovery
  • Drafting pleadings, briefs, affidavits, and legal correspondence
  • Preparing case summaries and assisting with trial preparation
  • Filing new matters and processing court communications
  • Organising and maintaining electronic filing systems
  • Managing and calculating billables
  • Scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and monitoring group inboxes
  • Conducting conflict checks and opening new files
  • General legal administration support as required

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in legal administration or general office support within a law firm or legal environment
  • Proficient in LEAP or other legal case management systems and electronic filing
  • Experience drafting legal correspondence, pleadings, briefs, affidavits, and case summaries
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, able to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Experience managing calendars, inboxes, scheduling, and general administrative workflows
  • Ability to conduct basic legal research and assist with trial preparation
  • Knowledge of conflict checks, court filing procedures, and billing administration
  • Professional, reliable, and discreet when interacting with clients, colleagues, and external parties
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and administrative tasks
