Job Description
Role Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and process-driven Assistant Manager, Export Documentation and Logistics to manage end-to-end export documentation and international shipment coordination. The ideal candidate will ensure smooth export operations, regulatory compliance, and timely delivery of shipments across global markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage complete export documentation including commercial invoices, packing lists, shipping bills, bill of lading, certificate of origin, and other regulatory documents.
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customs requirements, and country-specific documentation standards.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, CHA agents, shipping lines, and internal stakeholders for seamless shipment execution.
- Track shipment schedules and proactively manage delays, discrepancies, or documentation issues.
- Oversee Incoterms implementation and ensure correct freight, insurance, and logistics handling as per contractual agreements.
- Maintain accurate records of export transactions, documentation, and logistics costs.
- Work closely with the international sales team to ensure timely order processing and fulfillment.
- Monitor export timelines and optimize logistics processes for cost efficiency and operational effectiveness.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, International Trade, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in export documentation and logistics, preferably in the FMCG industry.
- Strong knowledge of export procedures, Incoterms, customs clearance, and international shipping processes.
- Experience coordinating with freight forwarders and regulatory authorities.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems (SAP or similar platforms preferred).
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
