About The People Business Partner Role

As our People Business Partner, you will play a pivotal role in leading people development and organizational planning for your client teams at YipitData. You will collaborate closely with senior executives, people managers, and their direct reports to support various departments across the organization.

We are seeking an experienced Business Partner adept at navigating the complexities of rapidly growing teams. This role requires someone capable of both advising and building team processes and structures that enable scalable growth. As a strategic advisor, you will be deeply committed to maintaining our strong culture and fostering our people's development. This is an opportunity to design and implement impactful programs and processes from the ground up, affecting every individual and the company as a whole.

This is a remote-friendly opportunity, available from NYC (our headquarters), one of our office hubs (Austin, Miami, Denver, or Mountain View), or anywhere else in the US. Please note that income may be subject to New York State tax withholding, depending on the remote work location.

As Our People Business Partner You Will:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to enhance key people processes, including promotion, compensation, performance management, and learning & development.
  • Assist in creating scalable organizational structures, partnering with department heads, managers, and FP&A to address needs, pain points, communication strategies, and succession plans.
  • Strengthen management capabilities by offering guidance, cross-functional perspectives, and 360 feedback.
  • Coach employees on their development, career pathing, and navigating complex challenges.
  • Partner with Legal and People Operations to resolve complex employee relations issues and implement necessary resolutions or policies.
  • Ensure YipitData’s culture, values, and engagement initiatives are integrated into your work.
  • Identify and resolve inefficiencies to maximize the impact of our People Partner team.

You Are Likely To Succeed If:

  • You have experience in an HR role managing sensitive data and establishing direct working relationships with senior management outside of HR.
  • You thrive in an environment where you can investigate and prioritize, possessing strong project and time management skills, exceptional organization, and the ability to collaborate across multiple departments and stakeholders.
  • You have a track record of earning trust from colleagues, from entry-level to executive team members.
  • You have experience and have learned valuable lessons from periods of rapid company growth.
  • You are scrappy and resourceful.
  • You proactively seek to understand the broader corporate goals and how they inform your work.
  • You articulate your thoughts clearly and effectively communicate People initiatives to managers.
  • You are passionate about teaching and coaching.
  • You enjoy learning new things and are comfortable admitting when you don’t have an immediate answer.
  • You possess 3+ years of relevant experience supporting managers in team, people, and planning capacities.
  • Bonus: Experience developing career plans specifically for sales or client service positions.

The final offer may vary based on factors such as applicant experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and internal team benchmarks. The compensation package also includes equity.
